Voilá – das erste NFT der deutschen Literaturgeschichte! Der noch junge VHV-Verlag geht hiermit Wege, die vorher so noch kein Verlag gegangen ist. Wenn ich hätte definieren sollen, was independent publishing eigentlich im Kern bedeutet, ich hätte kein besseres Beispiel finden können: Genau solche unbekannten Wege gehen. Und zwar auf allen Ebenen. Es freut mich unglaublich, mit meinem Roman Grand Mal, der im Juni 2021 dort erscheinen wird, Teil dieser allerersten Schritte zu sein. Ob die Buchbranche sich irgendwann in diese oder eine ähnliche Richtung entwickeln sollte, wird sich zeigen. Wichtig bleibt, neue Dinge auszuprobieren; herauszufinden, welche Möglichkeiten für die Literatur und ihre Verbreitung noch offen sind.
Vielen Dank an Andreas Vierheller und Victoria Hohmann für die herausragende Realisierung. Wohin die Blockchain Technologie die Verlagswelt noch führen wird, werden wir sehen. Die Möglichkeiten, die sie für Kulturschaffende bietet sind enorm, auch wenn die meisten Menschen momentan noch eher mit Kopfschütteln auf die Tokenisierung des Kunstmarktes blicken. Dass sich in den nächsten Jahren einiges / vieles verändern wird, steht außer Frage. Hier hat man also die Möglichkeit, einer der ersten zu sein:

The VHV-Verlag is presumably the first (German) independent publisher to release NFTs as pre-release collector’s items to accompany the release of a new novel („Grand Mal“ by Daniel Breuer).
What comes with the NFT (Gold):
1.) This token entitles you to download a gold edition of the e-book (#5 of 5). The gold edition contains f.e. photos of the original setting (Valparaíso) taken by the author himself.
2.) This token is a collectible that lives on the Ethereum blockchain.
What comes with the NFT (Black):
1.) This token entitles you to redeem the certified printed first copy signed by the author (certified by the publisher).
2.) This token entitles you to a half-hour private zoom meeting (AMA) with the author and publishing team.
3.) This token entitles you to download a special edition of the e-book (1 of 1). The special edition contains photos of the original setting (Valparaíso) taken by the author himself.

About the book:

About the author:
Daniel Breuer was born in Tehran in 1977 and grew up in Santiago de Chile, Istanbul and Brussels. He studied Islamic Studies, Iranian Studies and Philosophy in Berlin. Afterwards, several stays abroad in Asia and Central America. To enable himself to write, he worked various jobs in bars, museums and on construction sites over the years. In 2021 he received the working scholarship of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe of the City of Berlin for the work on „Grand Mal“.
